When A Friend is Down

Filed under: Inspirational — Tags: — rachel @ 12:30 pm

One of my best friends is going through a tough time in her life.
She knows how much I care for her and that I will always
support her in her decisions in life. I hope that in time things
will look more promising for her.

“Friendship is precious,
not only in the shade,
but in the sunshine of life.
~Thomas Jefferson~”

“Time is a very precious gift
of God; so precious that it’s
only given to us moment
by moment.” ~ Amelia Barr

A Moving Message

Filed under: Inspirational — Tags: — rachel @ 9:33 am

I received this beautiful message on my cellphone this morning from a friend. It really touched my heart. Let me share it with you…

A grandfather was walking through his yard when he heard his granddaughter repeating the alphabet in a tone that sounded like a prayer. He asked what she was doing. The little girl said, “I’m praying but I couldn’t think if it’s the exact and right words, so I’m just saying all the letters in the alphabet. God will put them together for me because he knows what is inside my heart.

I don’t know who the author of that short piece but it really moved me.

Carefree Moments

“We don’t stop laughing because we grow old;
we grow old because we stop laughing.” - anonymous

This quote makes me think of my parents. I admire how gracefully they aged through the years. Perhaps one good reason behind it is their free spirit. They enjoy many fun and carefree moments together.

Know a Good Thing When You See It

Filed under: Inspirational — Tags: — rachel @ 11:11 pm

I received a meaningful text message from my friend Natalie. I agree that life is too short and we should cherish the good times that we have. I would like to share the message with everyone.

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. Know a good thing when you see it and don’t let it slip away. If you get a chance, take it. if it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just say it would be worth it.

Uplifting Day

When we put people before
possession in our hearts,
we are sowing seeds of
enduring satisfaction.~Beverly Lahaye~

It’s a lovely morning. I woke up around 6:30 a.m. in the morning and decided to have a nice, short walk around the village. I could see the lovely Mt. Makiling clearly in the horizon. Just a few clouds were covering it and the view is uplifting to the spirit.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Cheerfulness and Positive Thoughts

Cheerfulness keeps up a kind of daylight in the mind,
and fills it with a steady and perpetual serenity.~ Joseph Addison ~

If we learn to be optimistic in our day to day life by embracing hopeful thoughts, we can be happier. When we learn to dwell on the positive thoughts, it is easier to see the brighter things in life. It helps us overcome small bumps on the road and makes us more appreciative of the good things we encounter in our journey.

When Blessings Come Unasked

Love comes out of heaven
unasked and unsought.

~Pearl S. Buck ~

This is a lovely quote. It’s true that love and blessings from God can come in surprising ways. Sometimes it comes before we’re even aware of it.

Life is A Web of Experiences

I think life is like a web of experiences.
You get the chance to love and be loved.
You get to work and play.
You get to discover and grow.
