Getting a Car Loan

Filed under: Info Corner — Tags: — rachel @ 3:43 pm

The price of petroleum products have dramatically increased over the past months. It’s alarming that gas and diesel prices continue to soar. Despite the inflation in fuel prices, people still continue to use their cars everyday to go to work, school, church, mall and other places. It’s a reflection of how owning a car has become a necessity rather than a luxury.

Most old model cars consume more gasoline compared to newer models. The impact of fuel increase has affected people globally. This growing concern has inspired some car manufacturers to come up with new car models that emphasize fuel efficiency. If you have an old car that is a gas guzzler, you can consider purchasing a new one. You may trade your old car and get a Car Loan to pay for the remaining balance. My preschooler and his classmates saw this moth in school. They were very excited and they gathered around it. I didn’t have my camera and I forgot my cellphone. Good thing a fellow mom was kind enough to snap a photo of it using her cellphone.

Two Birthday Parties For Yohan

Filed under: Info Corner, Yohan's Corner, birthday — Tags: , — rachel @ 6:09 pm

Tonight we’re having a small birthday celebration for Yohan. He turned 5 yesterday and he had a birthday celebration in school. Tonight we’re having another celebration at home for the family. Yohan is very excited to see his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Hubby is currently busy preparing food for the guests. He is making BBQ ribs, fresh green salad and crispy fried chicken. For dessert, he will make sponge cake topped with fresh fruits and ice-cream. Yaya made my favorite spaghetti.

I have gained considerable weight over the past few months and after tonight, I’m sure I will gain more. I might be needing the help of some weight loss pills to help me lose those extra pounds.

“Time is a very precious gift
of God; so precious that it’s
only given to us moment
by moment.” ~ Amelia Barr

Yesterday was Yohan’s birthday. He turned five years old. It’s really amazing how much time have passed. I feel blessed for all the wonderful years I’ve spent with him. I long to witness more of his milestones in life. I wish him best of health and a wonderful future.

Watching Sports Live

Filed under: Info Corner — Tags: — rachel @ 5:01 pm

What is your favorite sport? Do you enjoy watching a particular sport live? I do. I remember how much I enjoyed watching basketball games in college. Watching the NCAA games was always fun and exciting. Cheering for respective college basketball teams brought energy levels of students soaring. I remember the drum rolls, the shouting, the enthusiastic cheers and the loud clapping inside the stadium. I remember my heartbeat pounding faster whenever the time was coming to an end especially upon hearing the words, “last two minutes”. The most rewarding part of any game is watching your team win. Triumph is always sweet.

I also enjoy watching soccer games. Back in college, my cousin played as goal keeper for his school. He has invited me to several of his soccer games and I have enjoyed every single one.

I long to experience watching other sports live. Another interesting sport I would like to watch is baseball. I have seen several baseball games on TV but never live. It must be very exciting to watch it take place right before your eyes. If you enjoy watching baseball live, you can check out available Houston Astros Tickets. You can find the best available baseball seats online.

Q: Do you allow your partner to go on a night out alone (means without you around)?

A: Yes, I do as long as it’s not too often. I enjoy occasional girls’ night out so I don’t deprive him of boys’ night out. We both trust each other.

Choosing Best Credit Card Offer

Filed under: Info Corner — rachel @ 2:35 pm

There are so many Credit Card Offers these days. Many claim to provide great offers and quality service. One should be very careful about deciding on a particular credit card. Credit Card problems are common these days. Take for example the experience of my friend’s experience on her first credit card. The card is an extension of her husband’s credit card. The application was relatively easy because the credit card was a special offer for foreign overseas worker; however, receiving the card was the hard part.

My friend noticed that the delivery of the credit card seemed unusually long. It took several weeks before she received the card. When she followed it up from the bank, imagine how shocked she was when she found out the the card was already delivered to the recipient. She told the bank that she hasn’t received it yet so a trace of the missing credit card began. Apparently the card was delivered because it was signed by a certain lady on her behalf. My friend did not recognize the name of the person.  The bank was alarmed because it seemed like fraud.  Fearing that the card has been stolen, my friend told the bank to suspend the card.  Fortunately, upon further checking, the card had no record of being used.
