November is ending in a few days time which only means that Christmas is coming very soon. Have you started your Christmas shopping already?  I intend to start buying Christmas gifts on the first week of December.   I have a long list of godchildren, nephews and nieces on my list.

Many of the kids nowadays are very active in sports.  A lot of parents support their kids’ passion for sports because it develops both the body and the mind.  Sports can strengthen a child’s body and make the mind more active and alert. Here’s a list of sporty gifts that are ideal for kids:

2.  Tell Ball Starter Set -   Kids can practice their batting skills. Have fun playing baseball with your kids at your own home.

3.  Baseball Gloves-Perfect gifts for active members of the young baseball leagues.

4. Plastic Batting Tee Set- Ideal for young kids because it comes with an oversized foam bat and oversized plastic baseball.

5. Soccer Balls and Soccer Nets - It’s a fun way to enjoy soccer in your own yard.

Sports have many known benefits for kids.  Parents favor sports because it helps make their child’s body become strong and the mind more alert.  Sports are also known to enhance one’s social skills. A child who is active in sports often displays strong leadership skills.  A sports minded child is often great in handling conflicts and managing his or her time wisely.  A child who is dedicated in a particular sport is more likely to find it easy to bond with new people and develop harmonious relationship with teammates. Sports harness team cooperation and camaraderie.

Studies show that a child who is active in sports is less likely to start smoking.  Playing a particular sport can also help prevent a child from temptations such as taking drugs and alcohol.

There are many sports that a child can choose from.  Soccer is an example of a fun sport that many kids can enjoy.  You can even play soccer in your own backyard.  There are portable Soccer Nets that you can purchase. Portable Soccer Goals are easy to set up in the backyard.  Imagine playing soccer with the whole family.  It’s ideal for soccer practice and games.  You can have fun and at the same time promote family bonding.

Total Footballer

My husband is a big soccer fan. He was a member of his school’s soccer team in college where he played as goal keeper. His team was able to compete in various national games.
We named our son after my husband’s favorite soccer player, Johan Cruijfff. We just changed the J into a Y thus; we came up with the name Yohan. My husband admires Johan Cruijff’s speed, acceleration and most of all his remarkable game plans. His team triumphs often resulted from strategic player positioning and precise angled passes.

Soccer fans consider Johan Cruijff as the “Total Footballer”. Johan Cruijff was a phenomenal soccer player. His playing style allows a player to move out of his position to replace by another from his team. This game plan does not restrict a soccer player in his or her intended outfield role. It gives players the chance to be successful as an attacker, a midfielder and a defender.

My husband wants our son to learn how to play soccer. He is thinking of enrolling him this summer in a kids’ soccer clinic. Soccer Goals are often used to teach young kids about the basics of soccer. Sports clinics not only make kids more agile but it also promotes self-esteem, teamwork, and the value of hard work.
