“Time is a very precious gift
of God; so precious that it’s
only given to us moment
by moment.” ~ Amelia Barr

Yesterday was Yohan’s birthday. He turned five years old. It’s really amazing how much time have passed. I feel blessed for all the wonderful years I’ve spent with him. I long to witness more of his milestones in life. I wish him best of health and a wonderful future.

I asked Yohan to describe his dad.  “My Dad is good. He likes to play fun games with me. He takes good care of me.” His answer may be brief but it means so much.

Advance Happy Father’s Day to my husband, Jules.  I also want to wish my Dad a wonderful Father’s Day. To all the great dads out there, may you have a memorable celebration tomorrow.

WW :: My Parents’ 36th Wedding Anniversary

I can’t help but add some words to my Wordless Wednesday entry this week. I’m just so happy because after so many years we had the privilege of celebrating my parents anniversary with them.  They are staying with us for a vacation. If only I can slow down the time so we can be together longer. They are scheduled to go back to the States next week. I feel sad thinking about it but I’m just glad to spend quality time with them while they are here.

It’s Valentine’s Day, a lovely time to be with the people you love. Sometimes due to work related circumstances, you have no choice but to live far from people dear to you. On Valentine’s Day, it’s only normal to miss them. You may not be able to hug or give them a kiss on this special day but you can still tell them how much you care for them through a phone call. Hearing the voice of the people you love is a wonderful gift you can give to yourself. It would also mean so much to them to hear you at the end of the line.

You can avail of great deals on phone cards. In fact, there is a Valentine’s Special Sale until midnight of Feb. 15, 2008 that allows you to call long distance with irresistible big discounts. There are over 800 different calling cards that you can choose from and you get the advantage of having it delivered over the internet instantly.  Don’t let this valuable opportunity slip by because you can save a big amount of money.

It isn’t the great big pleasures
that count the most; it’s
making a great deal out
of the little ones.

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

When my son woke up this morning, he was very excited. He knew it was Valentine’s Day.

His teacher requested the students to wear red today instead of the usual uniform. The students were also asked to bring snacks that they could share with their classmates.  After that I went to the gym with fellow moms and went back to school to pick up Yohan.  After class, Yohan gave me a heart shaped card with small colorful hearts pasted all over.  He was very proud of the card he made in school. It was for me and his Dad.  I was so happy  when I received that special card.

Ever since I became a mom, I learned to appreciate small things.  It’s the small things that bring me so much happiness.
