I love reading articles and watching wildlife television programs. I find different kinds of animals fascinating. I enjoy going to the zoo but it is a limited experience. I want to learn more about the animals and how they live in their natural environment.
The octopus is one of the animals that has captured my interest. The octopus is a magnificent sea animal. It’s beautiful and very intelligent. I watched a documentary on television showing how intelligent an octopus is. It is also great in the art of camouflage especially when it is trying to escape from a predator.
To learn more interesting facts about the octopus, check out Octopus.com. The site also offers many great photos of the octopi in its natural habitat. Visit Octopus.com and learn more about the life of an octopus.

We don’t have Spring in the Philippines but I love the thought of Spring. I’ve been seeing a lot of Spring photos posted on blogs lately. It’s amazing how plants and flowers appear to wake up from a long winter sleep. Spring brings beauty and color to the surroundings.

I saw this lovely coiled yellow snake at the zoo. It was behind the glass so I wasn’t afraid to take a closer look.

I was browsing through some blog pictures online and saw this lovely monarch butterfly inside a glass container.
It reminded me of the time when my son brought home a caterpillar from school. I placed it inside a glass container including the piece of leafy branch it come with.
After a few days I was surprised when the butterfly formed a chrysalis. My son was amazed by the transformation. He did not witness the butterfly emerging from the chrysalis but he was so excited when he saw it for the first time. He freed the butterfly in our garden.
Flowers have a wonderful way of adding beauty to its surroundings. Colorful blooms can be great to the different senses. Lovely flowers can be pleasing to the eyes while its fragrance can bring pleasure to our sense of smell.
Japanese Magnolia trees have beautiful large flowers. They are usually the first to bloom during Spring time. Anyone can easily get mesmerized by the lovely light purple blossoms with varying shades of pink.

Hi! I ran out of fresh entries so I wasn’t able join CC for several weeks. I miss this fun meme. I’m glad to be back. I would like to share this photo of me and my son taken at Residence Inn Zoo in Tagaytay, Philippines. We had a nice opportunity to feed a live tiger cub. It was a fun experience.

This photo is courtesy of my friend, Siony. She was on her way to the beach a few weeks ago when she saw this cow by the road. I mentioned this meme to her before and how I need to come up with a critter photo every week. When she saw the cow by the road, she remembered me and didn’t hesitate to go down from the vehicle just to take this shot. It’s amusing how the cow turned as if to pose for her.

This photo is courtesy of my SIL, Chona. Scorpions are intimidating eight legged arachnids. Fortunately, I’ve never encountered one in the wild.

My friend, Siony and I were waiting for the bookstore to open when we saw this lovely moth resting nearby. Please pardon the quality of the picture. I like the moth’s green color. I don’t often see this kind of moth so it was a treat to chance upon one.
