I went to Nuvali Sta. Rosa with my family yesterday. It was an opportunity to celebrate because my husband recently graduated with distinction in Culinary school and my son just finished his final exams.
It was a nice, sunny Friday afternoon. The first thing we did was feed the koi in the man-made pond. Yohan had so much fun feeding the koi. We also had a short boat ride around the lake. Then we stopped for some delicious snacks at Conti’s.
There’s a new fun game on Facebook called Cafe World. I like it better than Restaurant City because you are involved in the cooking process. This game has become quite popular and majority of my FB friends are playing it.
As you level up, you unlock more recipes. Customers will keep coming in as long as you continue serving dishes and keeping your cafe clean. Here’s a screen shot of my cafe. I’m looking forward to decorating it some more as soon as I earn more coins.
I like doing the groceries. For me it’s not a chore but a regular activity that I enjoy. In fact, I look forward to going to the grocery. It has even become a nice family routine. There was even a time when my son would get one of those cute, mini grocery carts so he could enjoy doing the grocery with me. He would get his milk and snacks and load them on his mini cart while I take care of the essential and incontinence supplies. Sadly, the supermarket we go to have removed those mini carts. My son just helps me push the big grocery cart.
The two days we spent at the beach was great. It’s nice to get away from the normal everyday routine and have fun with the family. I love relaxing by the sandy beach and watching my son make sandcastles. I also enjoy snorkeling with my husband. The sea is a beautiful place and there are so many amazing things to see. It’s rewarding to see all those beautiful fish and live corals.
We went to the beach last Tuesday morning and stayed there the following day. It was sunny when we got there but there was a sudden downpour towards the late afternoon. We were already swimming when the rain started to fall. Since we were already there, I let my son have his first bath in the rain. I really wish I had a waterproof camera to take a photo of that memorable moment. Yohan was so thrilled to finally shower in the rain. We all had a wonderful time. The rain was fun but I’m glad the sun decided to shine again the following morning.
I’m excited because we’re off to the beach tomorrow. I just finished packing clothes for our overnight stay. My son made sure that his bed buddies - Mr. Panda (a stuffed toy panda_ and Smoochy (a stuffed toy frog) are inside his bag. I find it cute how he loves those two very much.

Wordless Wednesday here
Hope you had a fun Easter celebration with your loved ones. Here’s a photo of my son with his Easter goodies. He enjoyed an Easter egg hunt with his cousins at my MIL’s place.

How did you spend Palm Sunday and what were your thoughts during that day?
I woke up early to have breakfast with the family then we all heard mass in the nearby church. Hubby was given two palm fronds by his friend. They were simple palm fronds but I was impressed when I found out that his friend made them. We didn’t have to buy palm fronds outside the church anymore this year.
After the 8 a.m. mass we went back home. My son requested if we can go on a “date” as a family so we decided to go to the mall before lunch. We watched Monsters vs Aliens and had lunch at McDonald’s to take advantage of the Happy Meal featuring characters from the same movie.
It was pamper-me-day as well because I went to the salon while hubby and son went around the mall. I had a much needed haircut, cellophane hair treatment and eyebrow threading. The whole thing took several hours and I was so proud of my boys for being so patient.
After the mall, we dropped by my MIL’s place to give her some”pasalubong”. She was happy to see us especially her “apo”.
