How To Make Your Own 3D Glasses

Filed under: Creative Corner — Tags: — rachel @ 2:47 pm

I bought a nice 3D children’s story book on sale. It was 80% off but there was a catch. The 3D glasses of the book was missing. I decided to buy it anyway.

Hubby helped Yohan make a homemade 3D glasses for his story book. Let me share the easy steps.

Materials:

cardboard, piece of red cellophane, piece of blue cellophane, scissors, cutter and glue

Procedure:

  1. Draw a pattern of eyeglasses on a sturdy paper board. Cut the pattern. (You can practice making the pattern on a bond paper before making the final one.  Make sure the eyeglasses fit perfectly on the person who will use it.)
  2. Draw the lenses on the glasses and cut them using a cutter.
  3. Glue a piece of red cellophane at the back of one of the holes. Use a blue cellophane for the other hole. Cut any excess cellophane.
  4. Once the glue dries, it will be ready for use.

Painting a Sun Catcher

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Summer is a perfect opportunity to let your child enjoy arts and crafts. You can buy art materials or craft things for a fun project. There are also a lot of DIY art packages that you can buy at the mall. You just have to find out what your child is interested it.

Yohan loves to paint. A few days ago, he had fun painting this cute sun catcher. All the materials come in a box - the sun catcher template, paint, paintbrush and string for hanging.

DIY Train

Filed under: Creative Corner, Yohan's Corner — Tags: — rachel @ 6:10 pm

Last weekend, my son had a wonderful time creating his own train. The DIY Train set is a gift from Yohan’s Ninang Chona. My hubby helped Yohan make the train using plaster of paris. When it was dry, Yohan had a great time painting it. Fun projects like this is a great activity for kids because it enhances creativity.
