Christmas Gifts

Written By: rachel - Dec• 14•08

Christmas is just a few weeks away.  Our Christmas tree is up and there are already some gifts under the tree.  I put my Santa Claus collection on display and my hubby hung the Christmas lanterns at the lanai and some outside the front door.  The cold breeze in the air makes me feel the Christmas spirit even more.  Next week will be the start of the Dawn Mass, a Christmas tradition in the country.  I can’t wait to eat my favorite Christmas delicacies like the bibingka and the puto bumbong.

My mother-in-law recently arrived from her vacation.  She spent 6 months in the States visiting family and friends.  She arrived last Sunday.  She brought a lot of gifts for our family.  My son is so happy with his new toys, books and clothes.  His grandma promised him that there’s more to come this Christmas.  My mother-in-law gave my hubby and I many wonderful gifts including several culinary things.

My hubby and I went Christmas shopping the other weekend but we didn’t have enough time to finish our list.  We’re going to do more shopping this coming weekend.  I’m thinking of getting something for the house like one of those metal brabantia bins to replace the plastic one we have.

I’m still thinking of what Christmas gift to give to my hubby. He really loves cooking and I’m thinking of giving him something useful for the kitchen. I’m thinking of giving him a nice non-stick infinite circulon wok.

How about you? Are you done with your Christmas shopping?
