Losing weight is a struggle. I’ve always had weight issues. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago but I gained them back again. I wish I had faster metabolism like other people. I have friends who can eat anything they want and not gain a single pound. Sometimes I think life is not fair. It seems harder to lose weight now that my hubby is taking up culinary classes. He is more inspired to cook new dishes and I find it more difficult to maintain my diet. I might need the help of weight loss pills after all.
I printed flash cards to help my son review for his quiz in Science. The topic in Science is about mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and birds. I searched for images of these animals and printed them in uniform cards. My son enjoyed using the flash cards. Visual aids are perfect educational tools in helping preschoolers make lessons more interesting.

It’s always sad when someone in the family is sick. A few days ago, I learned that my uncle in the province is in the ICU because of lung problems. I have been receiving updates from my aunt and my cousin about the situation of my uncle. I found out recently that he is recuperating and is scheduled to be transferred to a better hospital. The whole family is hoping for his quick recovery.

My son and his classmates enjoyed various school activities yesterday. They started with picture frame designing followed by dish gardening. The last activity was swimming. When I picked him up from school, he proudly showed me the frame he made and his potted plant. It’s great that my son’s school allows the students to take a break from regular classes and have fun. Activities like those enhances creativity and camaraderie.
I have many friends who work abroad. I could just imagine how difficult it is to work in a foreign country away from the people you love.
