My son saw a grasshopper inside the house. I don’t know how it got in. Our helper caught it and put it inside this plastic bottle. Yohan was fascinated with it. After a while I told him that it was time to let the grasshopper go so it could go back to its family.  I was surprised that Yohan didn’t complain. He just said good bye and asked our helper to let the grasshopper go free in the garden.

I'm a Bella! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out! I enjoyed reading the book Twilight. Last Wednesday, I had the chance to watch the movie with my hubby. It was amazing to see the characters of the book come to life on screen.

Edward stole my heart as he entered the cafeteria. Dazzled is an understatement. I would love to watch the movie again.

I took this fun quiz and got the following result. You can give it a try too.
“You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please. You are unaware of your
attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company. You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone.”

The crime rate around the world is very alarming. It’s scary how many crimes take place each day around the world.  Law enforcers work hard to keep the people safe but it is also a good idea to have your own self defense products. Safety Tip :: Christmas Lights Safety

Filed under: Christmas, Safety Reminders — Tags: — rachel @ 7:12 pm

In the past year, there were many reports of fires due to defective Christmas lights.  Invest on quality Christmas lights this year.  There are many cheap Christmas lights available in the market today but most of them use substandard materials, making them a fire hazard.  Quality Christmas lights available in reputable stores have been tested and marked safe by a reputable testing laboratory.  Prioritize safety this Christmas by buying Christmas lights that passed required clearances and permits (check for stickers on packaging for quality assurance).

Family Bonding On Cold Days

Tomorrow is the last day of November. I can’t believe how time flies. Today I woke up to a breezy day. The temperature is getting cold in different parts of the globe. In fact, in some countries it has already started to snow. It only means that Christmas is just around the corner. Children in those countries must be thrilled about the snow fall. I could just picture kids making snow angels and snow men dressed up in cute clothes.

After having fun playing in the snow, kids must be eager to get warmed up beside the Electric Fires. Tired kids need to boost up their energy. What else could be more perfect than hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies? When I was young, my mom used to make hot chocolate during cold days especially every month of December. I loved drinking hot chocolate and eating my mom’s pudding.

Families can take advantage of cold months to spend more time together. I like the thought of the whole family sharing stories by the Hole in the Wall Fires. It would be a bonus treat for kids to be able to roast marshmallows on Gas Fires. Staying at home during cold days can be a very rewarding experience.

Always keep the channels of communication at home open. If a child feels comfortable in sharing his thoughts and confiding his feelings to his parents, it creates a harmonious atmosphere at home.  Taking time to genuinely listen to one another fosters honesty, respect and trust.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usI received wonderful news from my best friend a few weeks ago. She had an ultrasound and she learned that she’s going to have a baby girl.  She shared the good news to me as soon as she found out.  I’m very happy and excited for her.  She’s in her 6th month pregnancy and her tummy has gotten big already.

Last weekend, my best friend attended a formal occasion with her hubby. She went shopping for Trendy Maternity Clothes and found a nice dress for the evening event.
