I developed my interest in art since I was a young girl. Art was one of my favorite subjects in school. My love for the subject was inspired by my dad who has great talent in art. He encouraged and supported me in my interest. Like my dad, I was gifted in art. In fact, I won several art contests in school. My biggest achievement was the Gold Medal I won in a Children International Art Contest. My artwork was sent to Japan by our school and I won a Gold Medal for it.
I did not take any formal art lessons nor did I pursue a career in art but my interest in it remained strong through the years. I enjoy going to art galleries to appreciate different forms of art. I dream of visiting many art galleries in other parts of the world.

I’ve been busy doing household chores lately since the household helper is on vacation. My hubby and I divide the household chores. My hubby is in charge of going to the market and cooking while I wash the dishes and do the cleaning.
I was washing the dishes earlier when my 4-yr old son said, “Mommy, just tell me if you need me.” I immediately turned off the faucet and gave him a kiss. I told him how much I appreciate those words.

I find this a very meaningful quote. I admit that sometimes I find myself always looking for more, not easily contented by what I have. However, when I see people who have less than what I have but happy and satisfied in life, I realized that I should appreciate how lucky I am. I am sometimes humbled by what I see around me.
A rodeo is a fascinating and thrilling event where you can see fun exhibitions and actual competitions. The popular activities a rodeo is often known for are bareback bronco riding, saddle bronco riding, barrel racing, tie down roping, steer wrestling and bull riding. I remember when I was a child, my brother and I would pretend to be cowboys and ride our wooden rocking horse as if we were in an actual rodeo. We enjoyed watching movies and shows about cowboys and rodeos. Now that I have become a mother, I realized how the fascination with cowboys and horses remain popular through time because I know how interested my own son is about them.
A well known name in rodeo is The National Finals Rodeo. It is a large and popular rodeo event organized the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in the United States. Just imagine real cowboys doing all those action packed moves that you just commonly see on TV. Cowboy movies are fun to watch but seeing the real thing and live right before your very eyes is an experience that you can never forget. Have the chance to watch this spectacular event. Let your child show his creativity through arts and crafts. Let your child draw freely on blank pieces of paper. Give your child paper, pencil, eraser and drawing materials (make sure they are non-toxic) such as crayons, colored pencils and colored pens. Closely supervise children 3 years old and below.
I love watching my son draw different kinds of pictures. He often loves drawing things he sees on TV. When he watched a cartoon program with a dragon, he was inspired to draw his own dragon. Below is Yohan’s drawing of a dragon.
