Eight Intelligence
Yohan’s school emphasizes that all children are smart in different ways. This framework is called Multiple Intelligence or MI.
American Psychologist, Howard Gardner describes the Eight Intelligences:
1. LINGUISTIC LEARNERS: Word Smart
~ Like to read, write and tell stories
~ Have advance vocabularies
2. LOGICAL/MATHEMATICAL LEARNERS: Number Smart
~ Understand numbers, patterns and relationships
~ Enjoy Science and Math
3. MUSICAL LEARNERS: Music Smart
~ Appreciate rhythm, pitch, melody, and respond to music
4. BODILY/KINESTHETIC LEARNERS: Body Smart
~Skilled in fine motor tasks
~ Adept in using their body for sports or artistic expression
5. SPATIAL LEARNERS: Picture Smart
~ Like to draw, design and create things
6. INTERPERSONAL LEARNERS: People Smart
~ Understand people, lead and organize others
~ Enjoy joining groups
7. INTRAPERSONAL LEARNERS: Self Smart
~ Have strong self understanding
~ Have strong sense of right and wrong
8. NATURALISTIC LEARNERS: Nature Smart
~ Like the outdoors
~ Curious about nature
