I’m grateful to my friend Tina for giving me my own personal domain and for sponsoring my web hosting for two years. For those who do not know yet, Tina sponsored a contest on her blog last year. The object was to invite fellow bloggers to visit her site. The person who invited the most number of bloggers won the contest. The winner won 5 years worth of free web hosting plan plus personal domain. I did not win but I had a great time. Knowing that my fellow bloggers supported me on my quest to win the contest was already a prize by itself.
To my astonishment and delight, Tina announced that she was going to give me a prize for my efforts. I was so touched when she said she was going to award me with my own domain and web hosting for two years.
I’m grateful that Tina gave me a chance to widen my opportunities to blog for money and be able to be productive at home. It’s a wonderful opportunity for me especially as a stay-at-home mom. Through the help of Smorty, a service connecting bloggers with advertisers, I can combine my hobby and at the same time earn some revenue from it.

Yesterday, my husband and I took part in Avida Land Corporation’s Project E.A.R.T.H.
Environmental Awareness and Responsiveness Through Homebuilding
The activity involved a motorcade around Avida Communities in Sto. Tomas, Batangas followed by a tree planting at San Rafael Estates. There was a short talk from members of Avida, Home Owners Assoc. Officers and representatives of Solid Waste Management Assoc. of the Philippines (SWAPP). A fun highlight of the event was the intermission featuring a puppet show teaching kids about the importance of respecting and taking care of Mother Nature. There was also an entertaining dance number from Project E.A.R.T.H.’s mascots, Mundo and Munda.

The activity was a call to action to all residents to take an active part in fostering a clean, green and healthy environment.

There are times when I’m in the mood to drift back in time. Remembering memorable events in the past. I like to focus on happy memories of yesterday. Those thoughts always bring a smile to my face. I’m thankful for these memories. Reliving memorable moments can be uplifting and inspiring.
Cooking is my husband’s passion. He was inspired by his mom who loves cooking for their family. His mom was also in the food business. She managed a canteen in a big factory. My husband often watched his mom in the kitchen. His mom’s delicious cooking ignited his interest in cooking.
In our home, the kitchen is my husband’s domain. He loves spending time at the kitchen cooking meals for our family. He learned to cook different kinds of dishes by watching his mom cook, reading cook books and watching culinary shows on TV. My husband wanted to go to a culinary school in college but for some reason, he wasn’t able to fulfill this dream. He took up another course in college but until now he dreams of attending a culinary school to become a real chef. My husband said that if given a chance, he would like to pursue his love for cooking.
